Short answer: a white label is the cheapest way to open a casino and the most expensive way to run one for years; a turnkey package puts the casino on its own domain and hosting for a fixed price plus a share of GGR; buying the source code costs the most on day one and nothing per month after that. At Gambling Soft the three options are priced in public: white label at 1/3 of the code price plus 8% of profit, turnkey packages from $7,500 with 7-15% of GGR, source code from $8,500 one-time with no platform revenue share. All three launch in 7 business days after the advance payment and run the same platform code.
White label vs turnkey vs source code in one table
| Criterion | White label | Turnkey package | Source code |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you get | A ready brand on the vendor's hosting, admin panel access, no code | The casino engine installed on your domain with hosting and setup, games paid as a share of GGR | The platform code on your servers under a perpetual licence |
| Gambling Soft price | 1/3 of the chosen brand's code price (from $2,833 for Violet) + 8% of profit | Casino Lite $7,500 (9% of GGR), Casino Pro $15,000 (8%), Casino + Betting Pro $25,000 (7%, betting 15%), Casino + Betting Premium $59,000 (15% on official games) | Ready casino $8,500 to $47,500; platform engine without a brand $19,000; no platform share, 15% of GGR only on the official games package |
| Monthly cost after launch | 8% of profit for as long as the brand runs | Share of GGR for as long as the brand runs; hosting after the included period | Hosting and your own staff; share only for official games and the sports feed |
| Ownership | None, the brand is rented | The brand and the domain are yours, the engine is licensed | Perpetual licence; transfer of exclusive rights on request (clause 8.12) |
| Changes and new features | Within the admin panel only | Within the admin panel; code changes as paid work | Any change by your developers or ours |
| Who maintains it | Vendor | Vendor during support, then prepaid blocks | Your team; 12-month warranty and prepaid support blocks from us |
| Launch time | 7 business days | 7 business days | 7 business days |
| Licence | Required for real-money play; we arrange it from $28,000 (Anjouan) | Required | Required |
| Fits | A first project with a small budget, a test of a market | One brand with a fixed entry price and no technical staff | Several brands, a technical team, a long horizon, an asset for sale |
Every figure is from the Gambling Soft price list. Other vendors sell the same three models, but almost none publish prices; ask each for the setup fee, the share, its base (GGR or NGR), the monthly minimum and the exit terms.
What is a white label casino?
A white label is a finished casino that runs on the vendor's platform and hosting under your brand name. You get an admin panel, players, payments and games on day one; the vendor keeps the code and the infrastructure. At Gambling Soft a white label costs one third of the price of the brand's source code, from $2,833 for Violet, plus 8% of profit. Details: white label casino solutions.
Choose it when the budget is under $5,000, the market is untested, or you need to show a working casino to a partner or an investor within a week. Avoid it when you plan to run the brand for years: 8% of profit on a brand earning $20,000 a month is $19,200 a year, more than the source code of the same brand.
What is a turnkey casino?
A turnkey package is the casino engine installed on your own domain with hosting, design, payments and games connected, for a fixed price. The games are paid as a share of GGR. Gambling Soft packages: Casino Lite $7,500 (6,000 games, 9% of GGR, 1 month of hosting), Casino Pro $15,000 (8%, 1 year of hosting, 3 mirrors, affiliate program), Casino + Betting Pro $25,000 (7% casino, 15% betting, sportsbook and poker), Casino + Betting Premium $59,000 (25,000+ official games, unique design, 8 languages). Details: turnkey casino development.
Choose it when you want your own domain and brand without a technical team and with a known entry price. Avoid it when you expect to change the engine itself or to build a second brand on the same code; then the source code is cheaper.
What does buying the source code mean?
You receive the full platform code under a perpetual licence and install it on your servers. Gambling Soft delivers the engine, the admin panel 2.0, the poker room 2.0, all themes, migrations, tests, Docker files and documentation; only the licence check module is protected (3 files), and the licence is never revoked or disabled remotely. Prices: ready casino with a brand design from $8,500 (Violet) to $47,500 (Velvet), the engine without a brand $19,000. There is no platform revenue share; 15% of GGR applies only if you add the official games package (25,000+ games from 80+ providers, $5,500). A transfer of exclusive rights to the delivered edition, including the licence module in plain PHP, is quoted on request (clause 8.12 of the terms). Delivery contents: platform architecture page.
Choose it when you have or plan a technical team, want several brands, want to pass a buyer's due diligence or sell the business later. Avoid it when nobody on your side will administer a server: then a turnkey package with our hosting is the same engine with less responsibility.
Three-year cost of the three models
A brand with $30,000 of monthly GGR and, for the white label, $12,000 of monthly profit after games and payments. Hosting and licence are excluded, they are the same for all three.
| Item | White label (Violet) | Turnkey Casino Pro | Source code (Violet) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entry | $2,833 | $15,000 | $8,500 |
| Year 1 share | $11,520 (8% of profit) | $28,800 (8% of GGR) | $0 on the included 6,000 games |
| Years 2-3 share | $23,040 | $57,600 | $0 |
| Three-year total | $37,393 | $101,400 | $8,500 |
| With the official games package | n/a | n/a | +$5,500 and 15% of GGR on those games |
The turnkey column looks expensive because its share is on GGR, but it includes hosting, mirrors and support for the first period and needs no staff. The source code column assumes you run the 6,000 included games; adding the official package puts the share back for those games only.
How to decide in five questions
- Budget on day one. Under $5,000: white label. $7,500 to $25,000: turnkey or ready casino. More: source code or Premium package.
- Who administers the server? Nobody: white label or turnkey. Your team or a contractor: source code.
- How long will the brand run? Under a year or a test: white label. Years: source code; the share stops paying for itself after month twelve.
- How many brands? One: any model. Two or more: the engine for $19,000 and your own themes.
- Will you sell the business? A buyer pays for an asset with code; a rented brand is worth its player base only.
Can you move from one model to the next?
Inside Gambling Soft all three models run the same platform code, so a white label brand can later be bought as source code of the same brand, and a turnkey installation can be moved to your servers. The terms of transferring the player base and history are fixed in the contract for the switch; ask a manager for them before the first launch if you plan to move. Moving from another vendor's white label is a new launch: the brand, the domain and the marketing stay, the players register again.
FAQ
Which is better, white label or turnkey casino?
White label for the smallest budget and the fastest test; turnkey for your own domain and a fixed price without staff. Both launch in 7 business days at Gambling Soft.
Is buying casino source code worth it?
For a brand that runs more than a year, yes: $8,500 once against 8% of profit or 8-9% of GGR every month. For a one-off test, no.
Do I get the source code after buying it?
You receive it under a perpetual licence: you may modify it and use it in any number of your projects; resale and publishing the code are not allowed. A transfer of exclusive rights, including resale, is a separate agreement under clause 8.12.
What is the cheapest way to start an online casino?
A Gambling Soft white label from $2,833 plus 8% of profit, or the Telegram casino for $5,200 if you already run a casino on our platform. Both need a licence for real-money play.
Can I start with a white label and buy the code later?
Yes. The same brand runs on the same code; the terms of transferring players and history are fixed in the contract for the switch.
