Short answer: only software sold with source code can be hosted on the operator's own server. Managed platforms (SoftSwiss, EveryMatrix, SoftGamings, Slotegrator white label, BetConstruct white label) run in the vendor's cloud, and the operator gets an admin panel, not the code. Gambling Soft sells the full source code of ready casino brands from $8,500 (Violet) to $47,500 (Velvet), with installation on your server included and a 12-month warranty; the platform has run 20 brands of our own since 2010 on the same code, in two engine editions, PHP and TypeScript.

How the table was built: vendor websites read on 28 October 2026. "Vendor cloud" means the public pages describe a hosted service with an operator back office and do not offer code delivery. "On request" means no price is published.
What you get when you host on your own server
- The code and the database run on your server. Gambling Soft delivers the source code of the engine (PHP 8.2, Symfony 6.4, MySQL), the admin panel, 19 front-end themes and the installer with 469 database migrations. The licence to the source code is perpetual and not revocable; a transfer of exclusive rights (assignment, clause 8.12) is available as an option and is quoted by the manager.
- Nothing can be switched off remotely. The licence does not expire and is not revoked; there is no call-home that stops the casino if the vendor disappears.
- Player data stays with you. Registrations, deposits, KYC files and game logs are in your database, which matters for licences that require data to be stored in a given jurisdiction.
- No platform share. A one-time price instead of 8 to 15 percent of GGR every month. Game providers still take their share through the aggregation bridge (the official package is $5,500 one-time plus 15 percent of GGR).
- Your hosting bill. For a start with up to 1,000 active players a VDS with about 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM and NVMe disk is enough; a VDS costs $100 to $500 per month by industry estimates. Details are in the hosting requirements guide.
Own server or our server: both are included
| Option | What Gambling Soft does | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Your VDS | Installs the platform, SSL, mirrors, cron jobs and the game bridges; hands over root access and documentation | Rent the server (any provider), give SSH access for the installation week |
| Our hosting | Same installation on a server we manage; hosting is part of the turnkey packages (1 month in Casino Lite, 1 year in Casino Pro) | Nothing until the hosting period ends; then extend or move the casino to your server |
| Move later | Migration of the database and files to a new server is covered by the 12-month warranty | Provide the new server |
Launch takes 7 business days after the advance payment in either option. Payment is in three equal parts: contract, installation, acceptance.
What to check before buying "self-hosted" casino software
- Is the code complete? Ask for a code review session under NDA: engine, admin panel, bridges, payment modules. Gambling Soft shows the repository on a call; three files are protected with ionCube, everything else is open PHP.
- How are games connected? Games come through aggregation bridges; the vendor must have live bridges, not "we will integrate". Gambling Soft runs five bridges (aggregator names under NDA) with about 6,000 games at start and 25,000+ official titles from 80+ studios on request.
- Can you run it without the vendor? The installer, the migrations and the documentation must work without a phone call. Ask for a test installation on your server before the final payment.
- What are the rights? The licence must be perpetual and non-revocable, with a transfer of exclusive rights available as an option (clause 8.12 at Gambling Soft).
- Is there a warranty? 12 months at Gambling Soft, with fixes of anything that worked at acceptance and stopped working.
FAQ
Which casino software lets the operator host on their own server?
Software sold with source code: Gambling Soft (ready brands from $8,500, installation on your server included) and custom development studios that deliver code. Managed platforms such as SoftSwiss, EveryMatrix and SoftGamings run in the vendor's cloud.
Can I move a white label casino to my own server later?
Not without buying the code. At Gambling Soft a white label costs one third of the brand's source-code price plus 8 percent of profit; the same brand can be bought with source code later, and the switch terms are written into the contract.
What server does an online casino need?
For a start with up to 1,000 active players: a VDS with about 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM and NVMe disk on 64-bit Linux, plus a CDN and mirror domains. Budget $100 to $500 per month by industry estimates. Gambling Soft installs on any provider.
Not to the platform vendor. Game studios take their share through the aggregation bridge: 9 to 15 percent of GGR depending on the package.
Can the vendor switch the casino off?
Not with Gambling Soft source code: there is no remote kill switch, the licence does not expire and is not revoked, and a transfer of exclusive rights is available as an option (clause 8.12).
