Event organiser SBC has officially confirmed Lisbon as the permanent host city for its flagship global gaming exhibition, SBC Summit, through 2030. The new multi-year agreement was formally signed on 2 October 2026, the final day of the summit, alongside senior representatives from Turismo de Portugal, the Municipality of Lisbon, and Lisboa FCE, the venue management association overseeing the city’s major exhibition spaces. The deal extends previous commitments and guarantees that the annual industry conference will take place in the Portuguese capital across 2028, 2029, and 2030, utilising the combined capacity of Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL) and the MEO Arena.
According to SBC leadership and local officials, securing Lisbon for the long term provides vital commercial and operational stability for hundreds of iGaming businesses planning their marketing budgets, product roadmaps, and event calendars years ahead. The 2026 edition attracted industry delegates from 178 countries, generating approximately 85,000 hotel room nights across Lisbon. The event also introduced several high-profile standalone tracks, including the Affiliate Leaders Summit, the Global Prediction Markets Forum, and the African Gaming Forum, reflecting its role as a key multi-vertical hub for operators, aggregators, and technology suppliers.
For B2B software suppliers, game developers, and online gaming operators, this long-term commitment removes venue uncertainty and streamlines strategic networking in a well-connected European hub. Having a predictable base at FIL and MEO Arena allows platform providers to plan extensive product showcases, reserve exhibition space well in advance, and coordinate vital stakeholder meetings without concern over disruptive geographic relocations.
