Casino Affiliate Program Software: CPA, Revenue Share and Deposit Share, How to Set Up and Pay Partners

Updated 28 September 2026. Author: Gambling Soft team.

Short answer: casino affiliate program software tracks which partner brought which player, calculates the partner’s reward under the agreed model and gives the operator a report to pay from. The three models you need from day one are CPA (a fixed fee per qualified first depositor), Revenue Share (a percentage of the net revenue from the referred players) and Deposit Share (a percentage of their deposits). Industry estimates for iGaming in 2026: CPA of $50 to $300 per qualified player and Revenue Share of 25% to 45%. At Gambling Soft the affiliate program with CPA, Revenue Share and Deposit Share is built into every platform, with referral links and partner statistics in the admin panel, so there is no separate license to buy. Platforms start at $7,500 (Casino Lite package) and ready casinos with full source code at $8,500 (Violet); see the pricing page.

Affiliate commission models compared

Most casino affiliate deals use one of four models. The table shows how each one is calculated, who it suits and where the operator’s risk sits. Rates are industry estimates and vary by market, traffic source and player quality.

Model How it is calculated Who benefits Main risk for the operator
CPA (cost per acquisition) Fixed amount per player who registers and makes a qualifying first deposit; industry estimates $50 to $300 Affiliates who want fast, predictable money; operators who need volume quickly Paying for players who never play again, and fake first deposits
Revenue Share Percentage of net gaming revenue (NGR) of the referred players, usually for the player’s lifetime; industry estimates 25% to 45% Operators with low cash at launch; affiliates with loyal, long-term audiences Long tail of payouts, disputes over what is deducted from NGR
Hybrid Reduced CPA plus reduced Revenue Share for the same player Both sides when trust is still being built Two sets of rules to check, and both halves can be gamed
Deposit Share Percentage of the deposits made by referred players, independent of whether they win or lose Affiliates who do not want the variance of player wins; simple crypto and Telegram projects The operator pays even in months when players win and NGR is negative

GGR (gross gaming revenue) is players’ bets minus players’ winnings. NGR is GGR minus bonuses and payment provider fees; some contracts also deduct game provider fees and taxes. Write the exact formula into the affiliate terms, because this single line causes most disputes.

What casino affiliate program software must do: 10 functions

Use this list when you compare platforms or check a demo. A program that misses the first five will cost you money within the first quarter.

  1. Referral links and tracking. A unique link or code per partner and per campaign, stored with the player at registration so the attribution cannot be lost later.
  2. Several commission models per partner. CPA, Revenue Share and Deposit Share configurable for each partner, because a streamer and a comparison site will never accept the same deal.
  3. Qualification rules for CPA. Minimum first deposit and, ideally, minimum wagering before a player counts.
  4. Accurate revenue base. GGR, bonuses and payment fees per referred player, so the NGR in the partner report matches your accounting.
  5. Anti-fraud checks. Detection of duplicate accounts, self-referrals and deposits that exist only to trigger CPA.
  6. Postbacks. Server-to-server notifications about registrations and deposits for affiliates who run their own tracker. Large affiliate networks ask for this in the first call.
  7. Partner dashboard and reports. Clicks, registrations, first depositors, deposits and commission by day and by campaign, visible to the partner without asking your manager.
  8. Payout workflow. Monthly statements, hold periods, minimum payout amount and a record of what was paid and how (bank transfer, USDT and so on).
  9. Negative carryover setting. A clear rule for months when referred players win more than they lose: carry the negative balance to the next month or reset it.
  10. Sub-affiliates and audit log. A small percentage for partners who bring other partners, and a log of every change to a partner’s terms.

In Gambling Soft platforms the affiliate program (CPA, Revenue Share, Deposit Share), referral links and partner statistics are part of the admin panel, and anti-fraud and DDoS protection are part of every platform. In the turnkey packages the referral and affiliate programs are listed from Casino Pro ($15,000) upward. Because you receive the source code with ready casinos and the platform, items from this list that your affiliates require and that are not in the demo, such as a specific postback format, can be added as custom work, which is quoted separately. Ask for a demo of the admin panel before you decide.

Payout example: 100 referred players

A worked example with round numbers. The assumptions are illustrative, not a forecast: one affiliate brings 100 players who make a first deposit, 80 of them meet the CPA qualification (first deposit of at least $20), and over three months the group deposits $30,000. GGR is $9,000. Bonuses cost $1,800 and payment fees $900, so NGR is $6,300.

Model and example terms Affiliate payout for 3 months Operator keeps from NGR ($6,300)
CPA $100 per qualified player (80 players) $8,000 minus $1,700
Revenue Share 30% of NGR $1,890 $4,410
Hybrid: CPA $40 + Revenue Share 20% $3,200 + $1,260 = $4,460 $1,840
Deposit Share 5% of deposits $1,500 $4,800

What the example shows. CPA pays the affiliate more up front and puts the whole risk on the operator: if the players leave after three months, the operator is $1,700 down before counting its own costs. Revenue Share is cheap at the start and grows with the players’ lifetime: if the same group keeps producing $2,100 NGR a month for a year, the affiliate earns about $7,560, close to the CPA amount, but the operator has paid it out of revenue it already received. Deposit Share is simple to check but ignores player wins: in a month when the group wins back more than it deposits, the operator still pays 5% of deposits.

Negative carryover in numbers: if NGR in month four is minus $2,000 and month five is plus $3,000, then with carryover the Revenue Share base for month five is $1,000 (30% = $300); without carryover it is $3,000 (30% = $900). Industry estimates: most casino programs used carryover historically, and many now reset it monthly to attract affiliates. Whichever you choose, write it into the terms before the first payout.

How to protect the program from affiliate fraud: 8 rules

Affiliate fraud in iGaming mostly targets CPA: the partner creates or buys players whose only purpose is to trigger the fixed fee. These rules keep the loss small.

  1. Qualify CPA on activity, not on registration. A minimum first deposit plus a minimum amount wagered.
  2. Hold CPA payouts for 30 to 60 days. Chargebacks and multi-accounts usually show up within that window.
  3. Start new partners on low caps. For example, CPA for the first 10 to 20 players, then raise the cap after you see how those players behave.
  4. Check for duplicate players. Same device, IP range, payment card or crypto wallet across several referred accounts is the classic sign of self-generated players.
  5. Watch deposit patterns. Many first deposits at exactly the minimum amount, followed by no play, means the deposits were made for the CPA.
  6. Ban self-referrals and brand bidding in the terms. The partner may not register through its own link or buy ads on your brand name; breaking this cancels the commission.
  7. Link bonus abuse to the partner. If referred players only claim welcome bonuses and withdraw, reduce or remove the commission for that traffic.
  8. Pay only after reconciliation. Compare the partner report with payments actually received by the cashier. Deposits credited manually by staff are not player payments and should never count as a first deposit.

How to launch a casino affiliate program: step by step

  1. Choose models and rates. A common start for a new casino is Revenue Share for most partners and CPA only for tested ones. Keep Deposit Share for partners who insist on it or for crypto and Telegram projects.
  2. Write the affiliate terms. NGR formula, CPA qualification, hold period, negative carryover, minimum payout, payout date and method, prohibited traffic.
  3. Configure the program in the admin panel. Create partners, set each partner’s model and rate, generate referral links.
  4. Test the whole path. Register through a test link, make a deposit and check that the player, the deposit and the commission appear in the statistics.
  5. Connect partner tools if needed. Postbacks or custom reports for networks that require them.
  6. Recruit the first partners. Five to ten partners in your target countries are enough to learn what traffic converts.
  7. Run the monthly payout cycle. Close the month, reconcile, send statements, pay after the hold period.
  8. Review after 90 days. Compare cost per depositor and NGR per partner, raise caps for good partners and move weak ones to Revenue Share.

FAQ

Do I need separate affiliate software for my casino?

Not with Gambling Soft. The affiliate program with CPA, Revenue Share and Deposit Share, referral links and partner statistics are part of the admin panel of every platform. Platforms start at $7,500 and ready casinos with source code at $8,500.

Which model should a new casino offer?

Revenue Share for most partners, because you pay out of revenue you already have. Offer CPA only with a qualification rule, a hold period and a cap, and only to partners whose traffic you have tested. Industry estimates: CPA $50 to $300, Revenue Share 25% to 45%.

What is Deposit Share and when does it make sense?

The partner gets a percentage of deposits made by referred players, whatever the game result. It is easy to check and suits simple crypto or Telegram projects, but the operator pays even in months when players win.

Is negative carryover allowed?

It is a business rule, not a legal one: you decide it in your affiliate terms. Carryover protects the operator from paying for losing months; resetting monthly attracts affiliates. State your choice before the first payout.

Does the affiliate program work with white label?

Yes. With white label you manage partners through admin panel access; with source code you own the program and can extend it. The difference is explained in white label casino vs source code.
