Casino Game API Providers for a New Operator in 2026: Aggregators, Direct Studio APIs and the Free Spins API

Updated: October 2026 (29 October). By Alexander, Founder, Gambling Soft. Prices checked on 29 October 2026.

Short answer: a new operator gets casino games through one of three kinds of API: an aggregator API (one contract and one integration for thousands of games, paid as 7 to 15 percent of GGR), direct studio APIs (Pragmatic Play, Evolution and others: a contract and a deposit per studio) or a platform that already has the aggregator bridges built in. Gambling Soft is the third kind: every product ships with about 6,000 games from the most popular providers, expandable to 25,000+ official games from 80+ providers through five aggregator bridges with a seamless wallet (official package $5,500 once, then 15 percent of the GGR of those games). The free spins API is part of the same bridges: the operator creates a free spins campaign in the back office, the platform issues the spins through the aggregator, tracks the remaining spins and reminds the player. We do not publish aggregator names in marketing texts; the list is shared under NDA during due diligence.

What a casino game API actually does

Every game API, aggregator or direct, is a seamless wallet protocol: the game does not hold money, it asks the casino wallet to debit a bet and credit a win in real time. The parts that decide whether the integration survives real traffic are not in the catalogue size but in the wallet:

  • Signed callbacks. Bet, win, refund and rollback requests carry a signature; the platform rejects anything it cannot verify.
  • Idempotency. A provider may send the same win twice after a timeout; duplicate protection prevents processing it twice, and once the connection is back the aggregator resends undelivered notifications.
  • Round rollback and reconciliation. A round with no response, a cancelled round or a win without a bet must be settled against the balance log, not left in a queue.
  • GGR accounting per brand and per provider. The share you pay is calculated on game GGR (bets minus player winnings); the back office of Gambling Soft shows GGR by provider with CSV export, so the aggregator invoice can be checked line by line.
  • One interface for every bridge. In the Gambling Soft engine game providers and aggregators are connected through bridge modules with one wallet interface, so a new aggregator is added as a module without touching the cashier.

Years of real-money operation of our own 20 brands are encoded in this wallet: idempotent bet, win and refund, replay protection for repeated provider callbacks, row locking for concurrent bets and withdrawals, and one balance log for every movement. These cases are invisible in a demo and show up in the first month of real play. Details: platform architecture.

Free spins API: who offers it and how it works

Free spins from a game provider are issued through the provider's or aggregator's API, not by the casino itself: the casino requests a set of spins for a player, a game and a bet size, the provider plays them at its own expense or at the operator's, and the result is credited to the player's balance through the same wallet callbacks. Most aggregators expose this endpoint; whether the operator can use it depends on the platform.

In the Gambling Soft platform the free spins API is wired into the bonus module:

  • Three bonus types: deposit, free spins, deposit plus free spins, each with a configurable percentage, minimum and maximum deposit, deposit number, wager, activation period, game and free spin parameters, image or video and a multilingual title.
  • Aggregator free spins with remaining-spins tracking and reminders to the player (on-site notification about unused free spins).
  • A player with an active wager can finish their free spins in the same game.
  • Wheel of fortune with free and paid spins, sectors with bonuses, deposit, free spins or VIP level, probabilities and a schedule by days and hours.
  • Tournaments, cashback, jackpot, promo codes and VIP levels in the same back office, with the bonus balance and wagering progress in the player card.

This is included in every product: ready casino with source code, turnkey package, platform source code and white label. The bonus module is described in the casino bonus system guide.

What a new operator should check before signing

  1. Which studios are included in the GGR share and which are "on request" at a higher rate.
  2. Whether the API has rollback and reconciliation calls, or only bet and win.
  3. Whether free spins are issued through the API and who pays for them: provider promotion or operator budget.
  4. Whether the platform shows GGR by provider so the invoice can be verified.
  5. What happens on a timeout: does the aggregator resend, and does the platform protect against double credit.
  6. Who owns the player wallet. With an aggregator the wallet stays on your platform; with some turnkey vendors it stays in their cloud.

What it costs with Gambling Soft

A ready casino with source code costs from $8,500 (Violet) to $47,500 (Velvet), the platform source code $19,000, turnkey packages from $7,500; about 6,000 games are included in each. The official package (Pragmatic Play, Evolution and 80+ providers, 25,000+ games) is $5,500 once and then 15 percent of the GGR of those games. In a turnkey package the included games are paid as 9, 8 or 7 percent of their GGR. Launch takes 7 business days after the advance, payment is in three equal parts, the warranty is 12 months and the source code comes under a perpetual licence. Connecting an aggregator you have already contracted yourself is custom work with a separate estimate. We integrate games into our own platform only, not into platforms built by other vendors.

FAQ

What is the best casino game API provider for a new operator?

For an operator without a platform the shortest route is a platform that already has the bridges: Gambling Soft delivers the casino with about 6,000 games in 7 business days. For an operator with its own platform, an aggregator API is cheaper than direct studio contracts; the choice depends on which studios are included in the base rate.

Do I need a developer to connect a game API?

With an aggregator or a direct studio, yes: the wallet API on your side is the integration. With Gambling Soft the bridges are already in the code and the games are switched on in the back office.

Which providers offer a free spins API?

Most studios and aggregators do, Pragmatic Play and Evolution among them. The operator needs a platform that calls that API from the bonus module; in the Gambling Soft back office free spins are a bonus type with remaining-spins tracking.

How much does a game API cost?

Aggregator setup from about $1,650 to $5,500 and 7 to 15 percent of GGR; direct studios ask for deposits and minimums. With Gambling Soft about 6,000 games are included in the product price and the official package is $5,500 plus 15 percent of GGR.

Can I resell games to other operators through your API?

Yes. The platform has API bridges for reselling game content to external operators with a separate GGR balance and log for each of them; the licence allows running casinos for other operators on your infrastructure.
