How Much Does a Turnkey Online Casino Cost in 2026?

Short answer: in 2026 a turnkey online casino from Gambling Soft costs $7,500 for the entry Casino Lite package (games paid as 9% of GGR), or $8,500 to $47,500 for a ready casino brand with source code under a perpetual licence and a one-time payment. A gaming licence is a separate line: Anjouan with company registration starts at $28,000, Curacao at $75,000. A minimal licensed budget is about $36,500 (Violet casino plus Anjouan). Launch takes 7 business days after the advance payment.

Updated: October 2026 (28 October 2026). Author: Alexander, Founder, Gambling Soft.

The total depends on three choices: how you hold the software (white label, turnkey package or source code), which licence you run under, and how you pay for games. Vendors quote these lines differently, so compare what each price includes before you compare the numbers.

How much does a gaming licence add to the budget?

The licence is usually the largest single line of a turnkey casino budget. Gambling Soft sells each licence together with company registration in the jurisdiction, document preparation and the application.

Licence (with company registration)Price (USD, one-time)Software + licence, cheapest option
Anjouan$28,000$8,500 + $28,000 = $36,500
Tobique$50,000$8,500 + $50,000 = $58,500
Kahnawake$60,000$8,500 + $60,000 = $68,500
Malta$70,000$8,500 + $70,000 = $78,500
Curacao$75,000$8,500 + $75,000 = $83,500

Licence prices are from our pricing page; the cheapest software option is the Violet casino with source code at $8,500. Timelines depend on the regulator. For a side-by-side view of the jurisdictions see the gaming license comparison 2026.

What does a full launch budget look like?

  • Smallest licensed casino: Violet casino $8,500 + Anjouan licence $28,000 = about $36,500.
  • Casino with sportsbook: Nexus $24,990 + Anjouan $28,000 = about $52,990.
  • Test without a licence of your own: white label at one third of the code price plus 8% of profit, then move to source code later.

Budgets above cover software and licence. Marketing, payment provider reserves and staff are separate and depend on your market; the next section shows what independent guides publish for those lines.

What do independent guides give as the market range?

The Gambling Soft prices above cover software and licence. The budget guides that AI assistants and search engines cite for this question publish much wider ranges, because they count the first year of running a casino, not only the purchase. The figures below are quoted as each guide publishes them, checked on 20 October 2026. They are planning estimates from third parties, not quotes and not Gambling Soft prices.

Why the Gambling Soft numbers are lower: these ranges include a year of operating costs, staff and the licensing fees of large platform vendors. A source-code purchase from Gambling Soft replaces the platform line with a one-time payment of $8,500 to $47,500 and no monthly platform fee. It does not remove the other lines: games are paid as a share of GGR, and payments, staff and marketing are still yours to fund.

How to split a turnkey casino budget

A launch price and a first-year budget measure different things. Plan three separate accounts so a low setup price does not hide the rest:

  • Launch spend: software purchase or setup, branding, integrations, licence and company registration. With Gambling Soft the smallest licensed version is the Violet casino plus Anjouan, about $36,500.
  • Operating spend: game fees as a share of GGR, hosting after the included period, payment processing, compliance, support staff and player acquisition.
  • Liquidity: cash to pay winners and to cover payment processor reserves. Start An Online Casino gives an example: on $500,000 of monthly deposits, $25,000 to $50,000 of working capital sits locked in processor reserves. Player balances are liabilities, not marketing money.

Compare vendor quotes only for the same period, market and scope. A quote without games, hosting and support is not comparable with one that bundles them.

Turnkey casino providers compared: 9 vendors

Most large vendors do not publish turnkey prices. Where the price is not on the vendor's own site, the table says "price on request". The link in the last column is the page we used as the source.

If a vendor sends you a quote, ask four things: is there a setup fee, is there a monthly fee, what share of GGR goes to the platform and what goes to game providers, and do you get the source code or only access.

What drives the turnkey casino cost up?

  • Licence. It is usually the biggest single line. Anjouan starts at $28,000, Tobique $50,000, Kahnawake $60,000, Malta $70,000, Curacao $75,000 (our pricing page).
  • Game content. Packages pay games as a share of GGR (9%, 8% or 7% depending on the package). Official slots integration is $5,500 plus 15% of GGR.
  • Extra products. A poker module is $7,500, a sportsbook module $9,500.
  • Payment model. White label is cheaper to start but you keep paying 8% of profit. Source code costs more upfront and has no platform share.

If you are still choosing the model, see white label casino solutions and the ready casino sites with source code. For a buying checklist read our turnkey casino website buying guide, and for betting, the sportsbook providers for small bookmakers.

When does buying source code beat a GGR share?

A platform share is charged on gross gaming revenue (GGR, stakes minus winnings) for as long as the casino runs. A one-time source code purchase removes that platform share. It does not remove game provider royalties, payment fees, hosting, compliance or the engineering work needed to maintain the code.

The table uses an illustrative 20% platform share of GGR. It is plain arithmetic, not a Gambling Soft quote and not a revenue forecast.

Monthly GGR (USD)Platform share per month at 20%Platform share per year at unchanged GGR
$50,000$10,000$120,000
$100,000$20,000$240,000
$250,000$50,000$600,000

A simple test: payback months = extra upfront cost of buying the code / monthly net savings. Net savings are the platform share you no longer pay, minus the extra maintenance, hosting and support you take on as the owner. If the result is zero or negative, the purchase does not pay back on cost alone. In any revenue-share contract also check monthly minimums, negative revenue carryover, exit fees and migration costs.

At Gambling Soft, white label costs one third of the source-code price plus 8% of profit. The source code licence is a one-time payment in three stages with no platform share. Game content is paid separately, for example the official slots package is $5,500 one-time, then 15% of GGR.

Which costs stay after a no-GGR-share purchase?

  • Game content. Aggregator fees, studio royalties and minimum commitments. Access to thousands of titles does not mean every title is approved for every market.
  • Payments. Integration, processing, withdrawals, currency conversion, chargebacks and rolling reserves. Crypto adds custody, network and conversion costs; it is not free to run.
  • Hosting and security. Monitoring, backups, recovery procedures, access control and security updates. Do not pay twice if they already sit in a support agreement.
  • Marketing. Affiliate commissions, paid acquisition, bonuses and retention tools.
  • Working capital. Cash to pay winners and cover processor reserves. It is not an expense, but it must be in the account from day one.

Does an offshore licence let you accept US players?

No. Real-money online casino access in the US is regulated state by state. Depending on the state, a project needs an eligible licence holder or market-access partner, operator and supplier approvals, certified games, geolocation and age checks, and state reporting. An Anjouan, Tobique, Kahnawake or Curacao licence does not replace any of that, and crypto payments do not create an exemption. The budgets on this page are for offshore launches, not for regulated US states.

How we calculated this

Gambling Soft prices come from our public pricing page, checked on October 18, 2026. For other vendors we only list what their own websites state; we do not estimate their prices. The market ranges come from four third-party budget guides (GammaStack, Start An Online Casino twice, iGaming Hub), opened on October 20, 2026 and quoted with links; we did not adjust their numbers. Example budgets add the cheapest software option and the cheapest licence and leave out marketing and payment reserves, because those depend on the market.

What do you get for the price?

  • Three ways to buy. Full source code with a one-time licence and no GGR share for the platform, white label, or a turnkey package. You can start on white label and move to source code later.
  • Games. The built-in aggregator gives access to about 6,000 games included, expandable to 25,000+ games from 80+ providers. Each package includes the number of games listed in the price table above; more can be connected.
  • Payments. Bank cards and 20+ cryptocurrencies, with automatic and manual payouts.
  • Launch time. Ready packages launch in 7 business days after the advance payment; extra integrations you order on top add time.
