Cheapest Way to Launch an Online Casino in 2026: Providers and Costs Compared

Updated: October 2026. By Alexander, Founder, Gambling Soft.

Short answer: the lowest entry ticket is a white label, from about $2,833 plus 8% of profit at Gambling Soft, or a turnkey package such as Casino Lite at $7,500. The cheapest way to own the casino outright, with source code and an offshore license, is a ready brand plus an Anjouan license: from $36,500 for year one, with no platform revenue share afterwards.

Most published price lists hide the real bill in the ongoing share. A low setup fee with a 20-40% cut of revenue can cost more by the end of year two than a one-time purchase. This page compares the four ways to launch, the providers that sell each of them, and what the first year actually costs. We are one of the vendors in the table, so our row uses only figures from our public price list, and other vendors are listed with the figures they publish themselves.

What are the four ways to launch an online casino?

Route Upfront cost Ongoing cost Who owns the code License Best for
White label Lowest: setup fee or a fraction of the code price Share of revenue or profit, monthly fees Provider Usually the provider’s or arranged by the provider Testing a market or a traffic source with little cash
Turnkey package Fixed package price Share of GGR on game content, hosting Depends on the vendor Your own, bought separately Operators who want their own brand but a fixed start
Buy a ready casino with source code One-time payment for the code No platform share; game content and hosting only You Your own, bought separately Owners planning to run the casino for years
Build from scratch Highest: a full development team for months Your own team You Your own Large operators with unique product needs

Building from scratch is almost never the cheap option for a first casino: you pay for the team before you have a single player. The real choice for a tight budget is between renting (white label) and buying (source code), and the right answer depends on how long you plan to operate.

Which providers offer the cheapest launch, and what do they charge?

The table lists ten vendors that sell white label, turnkey or source code casinos to new operators. Most of them do not publish prices, so their cells say “price on request” with a link to the vendor’s own site. Two vendors publish entry prices: CasinoPlatform and Gambling Soft. Figures were checked on the vendors’ pages on 14 October 2026.

Provider Model Entry price Ongoing fees Source code Launch time Source of the figure
Gambling Soft White label; turnkey packages; ready casino with source code White label from about $2,833. Casino Lite $7,500. Ready casino with code $8,500-47,500 one-time White label: 8% of profit. Code products: no platform fee; 15% of GGR on official studio games only Yes, with code products 7 business days gambling-soft.com/pricing
CasinoPlatform White label (Starter), larger plans Starter: EUR 10,000 setup. Growth: EUR 50,000 Revenue share; Starter split 60/40 No “First bet in 21 days” on the Starter plan, per their pricing page casinoplatform.com/pricing
SoftSwiss Managed turnkey and white label Price on request Revenue share, rate on request No Not published softswiss.com
Slotegrator Turnkey and white label with its own aggregator Price on request Revenue share, rate on request No Not published slotegrator.pro
NuxGame White label, turnkey, API integration Price on request Revenue share, rate on request No Not published nuxgame.com
GammaStack White label and custom development Price on request Depends on the model Negotiable in custom builds Depends on scope gammastack.com
SoftGamings White label and game aggregation Price on request Revenue share, rate on request No Not published softgamings.com
BetConstruct White label and turnkey, sportsbook-led Price on request Revenue share, rate on request No Not published betconstruct.com
EveryMatrix Modular: casino, sportsbook, PAM, payments Price on request Revenue share, rate on request No Not published everymatrix.com
Digitain White label and turnkey, sportsbook and casino Price on request Revenue share, rate on request No Not published digitain.com

Reading the table: a vendor that says “price on request” is not necessarily expensive, but you cannot compare it until you have a written quote. Ask every vendor the same three numbers: the setup fee, the share rate, and whether that share is taken from GGR or NGR. GGR is the larger base, so the same percentage costs more. For a vendor-by-vendor breakdown of the rental model, see our SoftSwiss and Slotegrator alternatives comparison.

What does the cheapest own-brand casino cost in year one?

If you want your own brand, your own license and the code on your own server, the bill has two big lines: software and license. Below are the all-in first-year figures at Gambling Soft, taken from the public price list. A white label skips the license line but keeps a profit share for as long as you operate.

Option Software, one-time (USD) License, one-time (USD) All-in, year one (USD) Ongoing platform share
White label From about $2,833 (one third of the code price) Check terms with the vendor From about $2,833 8% of profit
Casino Lite package (350 games, first month of hosting) $7,500 Separate From $7,500 plus license 9% of GGR on games
Violet ready casino with source code + Anjouan with company $8,500 From $28,000 From $36,500 None (15% of GGR on official studio games only, if added)
Platform code without a brand + Anjouan with company $19,000 From $28,000 From $47,000 None
Violet + Tobique license $8,500 $50,000 From $58,500 None
Violet + Curacao license $8,500 $75,000 From $83,500 None

Not included in any row: hosting after the first period, payment provider fees, marketing and player acquisition, and support hours beyond the warranty. Our warranty is 12 months; extra development or support is sold in blocks of 40 hours for $1,980. Payment for code products is split into three stages, so the first payment is a fraction of the total.

How much does the first year really cost? Published estimates vs our figures

Most guides, and most AI assistants, answer “what is the cheapest way” with a full first-year budget, not with the platform price. These are different numbers. The table below keeps them apart, so you can compare like with like. Third-party figures are quoted as published; we did not adjust them.

Source Launch model What the figure covers Figure
Hub88 guide White label, lean Year 1 total: platform, license, games and payments, 6 months of marketing $80K-$250K
Hub88 guide White label, competitive Year 1 total, same items $250K-$550K
Hub88 guide White label Platform only: upfront fee plus monthly fee $10K-$80K upfront + $5K-$20K per month
Hub88 guide Custom build Platform development only, 6-12 months $200K-$500K+
Licence Gaming guide Small offshore licence Launch in about six weeks under EUR 60,000
Licence Gaming guide European licence About half a year to launch up to EUR 300,000
Gambling Soft price list White label Platform, entry price from about $2,833 + 8% of profit
Gambling Soft price list Own casino with source code + Anjouan license Platform and license, year one, no platform revenue share from $36,500

What this means in practice: the platform is rarely the biggest line. In the lean white-label budget above, marketing ($30K-$80K for six months) and games plus payments ($20K-$50K) together outweigh the platform itself ($10K-$50K). A cheaper platform still saves real money, but plan the rest of the budget before you pick a vendor. Our figures cover the platform and the license only; hosting after the first period, payment provider fees and marketing come on top, as listed above.

When is renting cheaper than buying?

Renting wins when you are not sure the casino will run for more than a few months: a white label lets you test traffic and payments with the smallest upfront spend. Buying wins as soon as revenue grows, because a share-based model takes more the better you do. Take a small casino that reaches $50,000 of monthly NGR by the end of year one and holds that level for two more years: about $1.5 million of NGR over three years. Every percentage point of platform share then costs about $15,000. A 10% share is about $150,000; a 20% share about $300,000. A one-time code purchase costs the same whether the casino earns $10,000 or $100,000 a month.

A practical path for a tight budget is to start on a white label to prove the market, then move to a code product on your own license once the numbers justify it. On our side the platform is the same, so the move does not change the player experience. Ready brands with live demos are on the ready-made casinos page, and every package with its price is explained in online casino software pricing in 2026.

How long does a cheap launch take?

Software is rarely the bottleneck. At Gambling Soft a ready brand goes live in 7 business days after the advance payment. The license and the payment provider usually take longer than the software, so start those first. If you already have a brand and want to compare several finished casinos side by side, see how to buy a ready-made online casino.

How did we calculate this?

Gambling Soft prices come from our public price list, last updated in September 2026. CasinoPlatform figures come from its own pricing page, checked on 14 October 2026. The other eight vendors do not publish a price list, so we do not quote setup fees or share rates for them: third-party reviews give numbers that differ from one review to the next and mix GGR and NGR as the base. The three-year example uses a simple assumption ($50,000 monthly NGR held for two years after ramp-up) so you can replace it with your own forecast. License prices are our offer for each jurisdiction and include the work we do; a regulator’s own fees and timelines can change.
